The Power line was put in the conduit today by me and my brother Peter. I pushed while he pulled and we managed to get it through the 60 ft of conduit to the house. He then hooked the power to the meter. Now when CVPS comes out they can hook up the transformer to the line and we will have power. Work continued on the deck check out the new picture. Another storm approaching so I'm not sure when this work will be completed, but another step forward.

Power Pole
Work was completed on the power pole by CVPS on last Friday. They hung the wires and put in our transformer. Work is progressing on the deck part of the floor is put in. Weather has slowed down most of the work. Peter & I are going out to put in the wires in the ground and hook it up to the meter. I also talked to Craig Breslin from CVPS on the phone early today and he will schedule the final hook up to the house hopefully this week if the weather holds up. Also anyone who is waiting to here about the bees, I have a update. I took the covers off yesterday to check them and to put in some pollen patties I made last fall for them. I am happy to say both hives are still alive. With the cold temperatures I didn't leave the cover open to long but I hope they survive for me. I will try to feed them at least once a week with the patties to give them a boost. :)

Electrical Conduit
Today the electrical conduit was installed. Jim Ploof came out and dug the 3ft trench and put in two 2 1/2" conduit lines for the power and telephone. My brother Peter that owns Williamson Electric also installed the meter box on the side of the house. Service to the house will be 200amps. This will provide extra power for the house so that any additions added on to the power will be able to handle the load. I could have done it a little cheaper with 100amp service but wanted to make sure I will have enough power later and cut the cost of replacing the service. All of this work has to be completed and meet special electrical service requirements from Vermont utilities. In other words it was done right the first time and looks great. I am very happy with what was done today. This is just another step in the right direction. Patti & I have picked out the tubs and showers that will be installed. They should be starting sometime this week. Some progress on the deck was completed last week but no sign of Hutchins today.
