The kitchen wall is now in place as you can see from the picture. John also made the wall for the stairway. We had to make the upstairs bathroom one foot larger so we could put in the shower and tub we wanted so I included a picture of that as well. Work also continues on the roof. John has the roof about 80% done and it looks real nice. We had to take the dining room door out as well as one of the kitchen windows so my brother Peter could do the wiring for a switch box for the porch and outlets for the kitchen. There is a hole and channel in the frame work for the wire to rest in. Now that the wiring is done the windows can be installed permanent. All windows are in except the four in the basement. The front and back entrance door also need to be put in. The outside is looking great with only the great room log siding left to complete. The rear entrance needs to be made and the stairs and railing on the deck need to be completed. Macintyre plumbing will be bringing the new showers and tub hopefully this week.

We Now Have Doors
The doors in the great room were installed yesterday as well as the dining room. They also installed two more windows the one up in the loft area and the other in the dining area. They have four more windows to install in the walk out basement level. The front door and the lower basement door need to be installed. With good weather they have completed many projects that needed to be done. Natasha took a second off from running around the property for a photo shoot. She is standing just about where the kitchen sink will be.

Windows, Windows And More Windows
We now have the great room windows in. John and his crew installed them today. The look great!! They will be installing the rest of them tomorrow as well as the doors. The side views of the house show the roof work being done. The weather has held up so far but the roof won't be completed this week. The upper shed dormer area is already shingled on both sides. Also the porch roof is done.

Did I Mention Stairs Before!!
We now have our stairs. John made them without the landing so we would have more room at the bottom of the steps. We talked it over last evening and decided that would be a better option. The upper section now has shingles on the roof. About 1/3 of the roof is shingled. The view has changed quite a bit. Patti & I this winter when the ice was thick cut down over 20 trees down towards the lake. Most of the trees were damaged and just blocked the view. The ground has dried quite a bit now. In some areas we have some settling of the gravel. This was expected! I'll get Jim Ploof to come and fill in the low areas after the ground is completely dry. Piping for the heating system is being installed through out the house. The picture of the view from the great room was taken from our new steps. It should only be a few days before the rest of the windows are installed. They are finishing the trim work around the windows. I'll have them posted as soon as they are installed.

Progress Continues
Work continues on the south side roof. Shingles are being installed just above on the upper roof. The trim work will be completed real soon. The doors and windows will be put in on the lake side hopefully tomorrow. John also said he will start putting in the stairs to the upper floor tomorrow. Macintyre has completed some more copper pipe work for the heating system. And the lake opened up today by the house. As you can see from the pictures there has been alot of progress. With the outside work almost completed the fun work starts inside soon.

Lot's of New Activity
Today was a busy day. We had two contractors working on site at the same time. Hutching the building contractor and Macintyre the plumber were working at the house today. The new furnace was put in along with some of it's connections. The new oil tank was installed as well. If you look on the picture on the north side you can see where the vent pipe is and the fill pipe for the fuel oil will be. The trim work was completed on the rear and the roof work has one more step towards completion. The entrance small porch will be the last thing going up. Some work is still needed on the south side roof structure as you can see in the picture, but with good weather expected for tomorrow they should get that completed. Then the shingles go up. Macintyre will be working on the furnace tomorrow as well. We have to make a change on the upstairs bathroom. The plumber checked the measurements and the tub and shower we wanted won't fit properly. So we have to make some changes again. At this point that's a minor problem. The snow is melting fast and the lake has opened quite a bit in the last few day's. It's all coming together finally. Yes!!!

Work Continues
Work on the great wall started today. John had two workers working on the house. They accomplished putting up the exterior siding on the lower half of the great wall as well as finishing the framing of the wall. Tomorrow they will have a full crew and we should see some more progress. The exterior trim and roof will be next on the list after the wall is completed. It's nice to see work on the house again.

We Have Some Activity
After talking to John many times this month I finally have a date for them to start. They will be working on site tomorrow April 2nd. After checking the house today I noticed they had there tools and equipment back on site. We are now at least 2 months behind schedule with warmer weather coming. We have lot's of mud around the house so let's hope we have a dry spring. As soon as some work is completed I'll let everyone know. Start looking for new updates. Thanks for your patience. The lake is still frozen and both Bee hives are doing great. I'm really excited for a great season and I banking on the best honey ever for Amie & Jay's wedding in August.
